First of all, if you are totally new to this concept, let's just explain it in a simple way. An affiliate website is basically setup with a view of directing it's visitors to other websites where they will signup for some kind of a service or purchase a product from the vendor. In return, the affiliate website will earn a small commission. These commissions can be as little as 10 pence or as big as £50 per signup or purchase order.

In building such a website, we create a database where all of the affiliate codes can be stored. The owner of the website is then provided with an admin panel which he/she can logon to using an username & password. This admin panel will be hidden from the general public and is only accessible to the administrator of the website.

Once logged on, the admin will then have the ability to add/modify/delete the affiliate codes. The admin can also sort the order in which the banners will be displayed on the website's actual banner's page.

Most affiliates earn handsome commissions from sites related to poker, supermarkets, price comparision websites, insurance companies, Internet companies, mobile phone operators and many other popular services or products.
